The quality of your first impression should be just as predictable when you produce your hundredth. Always realising your impressions in the same way not only ensures a constant high-quality alginate impression; it also contributes to an efficient way of working.

However, there are certain external factors that may influence the quality of your alginate impression. For instance, the (water) temperature, mixing proportions, the way of mixing and the conditions in which you store the alginate can effect the quality of the final alginate impression. It is therefore essential to standardise as many of these factors as possible.
